Table 2 supports a three-dose viral example, 2 to 4 weeks apart. Leptospirosis is core with a two-dose course from 12 weeks and annual boosters. Rabies follows local law. Routine-history validation uses the six-week starting age and minimum two-week interval in the core viral table. This does not cover specialist or shelter courses.

How the calendar
works out the dates.
Each planned age is added to the birth date in whole weeks. Eight weeks means 56 calendar days. The planner skips the core doses you mark as already given.
An overdue dose keeps its original date and shows as soon as possible. It does not prescribe a catch-up course. Calendar exports move overdue reminders to today and keep the original date in the notes.
The 8, 12 and 16 week dates are a core viral planning example, not a complete vaccination course. AAHA's disease-specific guidance continues doses beyond 16 weeks, with 18 to 20 weeks considered in higher-risk settings. Ask your vet whether another dose is needed.
First viral booster: AAHA recommends it within one year after the actual final dose of the initial viral course. The date shown is one year after the planned final dose. Your vet may advise an earlier date or further puppy doses. It does not schedule leptospirosis or rabies boosters.
Reported doses must fit the age bounds of the linked routine guidance. Earlier or specialist courses need an individual plan from your vet. Each calendar download creates separate events, including repeat downloads of a saved plan. Remove an older import before replacing it.

When does a puppy get its first vaccination?
The linked guidance allows the core viral series to start at 6 to 8 weeks. This planner uses 8 weeks as a planning example. Your vet chooses the actual timing.
How many puppy vaccinations are needed?
The dated viral rows are an example, not a complete course. AAHA also identifies leptospirosis and rabies as core vaccinations. The 12-week card includes a planned first leptospirosis dose. Its separate course needs a second dose 2 to 4 weeks after the actual first dose; viral-dose counts do not record that course. Your vet may continue viral doses beyond 16 weeks, especially where disease risk is higher. Confirm the course using the actual vaccination record and licensed instructions.
When can a puppy go outside or meet other dogs?
Ask your vet about safe social contact and local disease risk. The date of a planned final dose alone does not establish protection or permission to visit public places.
Is rabies vaccination required where I live?
Check your state and local rabies laws with your vet or local health department. Confirm the first dose and its separate rabies booster, generally one year after that vaccination. Example window, not a legal deadline. CDC describes a usual minimum age of 3 months (12 weeks). The 16-week end is a planning choice, not a nationwide deadline. Follow the licensed vaccine instructions.
What if a dose is overdue?
The original date stays visible and is marked as soon as possible. Contact your vet to arrange a catch-up plan. Several overdue reminders do not mean several doses should be given together.
Are these dates a vaccination record?
No. This is a planning card for United States. Keep the actual vaccination record supplied by your vet. The first booster date is a planning date. Your vet may advise a different time.

Initial age and booster requirements depend on applicable laws and licensed instructions. General guidance is from 3 months, with a first booster one year after the initial rabies dose.
The vaccination section describes a usual minimum age of 3 months (12 weeks), and says schedules vary by product, state and local laws. It does not establish a national 16-week deadline.
